I’m self-employed, having trouble with business debts, and can’t afford an accountant. Who can I talk to?

CAVA, the Chartered Accountants Voluntary Advice Service, can help. Please note that CAVA do not take self-referrals directly from the public. For an appointment with one of their volunteer accountants, please contact your local CIS or their helpline on 0761 07 4000, or your local MABS office or MABS helpline on 0761 07 2000. Please note that you may be asked for a short summary of the matter you need advice on before your appointment, in order that you can be put in touch with the accountant best suited to your particular needs.
