Welcoming you back – Reopening Our Offices

MABS knows that balancing your money in the best of times can be hard. We also know that balancing your money in uncertain times can be even harder. That is why we have been here, throughout the pandemic to help you when you’ve needed us.
Back in March and April, we had to limit public access to our offices, but our Money Advisers have been here. Although we might not have been able to meet face-to-face, we have always had your back and have been providing our service by phone, email, Zoom and online live chat.
But the time has now come to reopen our doors on a limited, appointment-only basis. We took the time to review our offices, how they are laid out and we’ve implemented several measures to make them safe.
Keep reading to learn about the measures we’ve put in place, designed to keep everyone safe and healthy, while also providing you with the support and help you need.
Where possible a one-way system has been put in place, this will mean that you will come in one door and leave through a different door.
Floor signage, posters and other visual prompts will be displayed through-out the reception, in the consultation rooms and staff areas to remind everyone to keep 2 metres apart and follow public health guidelines.
All will require face coverings. No one will be allowed into a MABS office without one, unless medically certified.
Sanitising stations will be available in all areas so that members of the public and staff can sanitise regularly.
There will be regular reminders to follow public health guidance, such as how to sneeze or cough.
Clear Perspex shielding has been put up in all areas, where a member of staff will be interacting with you.
These are in place to limit the potential spread of the virus when two people are close together for a limited time.
All consultation rooms have been set up with plastic shielding to limit the spread of the virus.
Consultations are strictly by appointment and limited to 30 minutes. The consultation room is thoroughly sanitised between use.
Regular cleaning and sanitisation are carried out in all public and staff areas to make sure the area is safe and clean.
These measures are in addition to regular cleaning and sanitisation tasks done throughout the day.
COVID-19 Measures – Our Staff
We’ve put these measures in place to make sure that the risk to you and our staff is reduced.
All our staff have gone through COVID-19 specific hygiene and safety protocols training in line with the Government’s Returning to Work Safely Protocol. Our staff are being briefed regularly on new developments, and are implementing best practice measures such as:
- Temperature checking before coming to work
- Contact tracing log
- Social distancing measures in the office
- Staggered starting times and break times
- Self-isolation room/area for anyone (staff or client) that display COVID-19 symptoms
We have worked hard throughout providing support to you by phone, email and Zoom, and we are looking forward to working with you in person again, staying safe and healthy.
