The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is a national, free, confidential and independent service, providing advice and support to people in debt or in danger of getting into debt. Each MABS company is rooted within the communities they serve and staff work with clients to enable them to cope with immediate debt problems and assist them to develop good money management skills.

North Dublin MABS is currently seeking:

Helpline Advisers - 2 Positions

Permanent, Part Time (17.5 Hours per week)

Blanchardstown, Dublin

The Role

The MABS National Helpline provides advice and support on many money management and debt issues. As the gateway to debt advice the MABS Helpline provides vouchers for free financial advice. Advisers also refer callers to qualified Money Advisers, Dedicated Mortgage Advisers and give advice on Insolvency options available to callers under Insolvency legislation. We are seeking to recruit two part-time Helpline Adviser to join our busy team.

The office address is MABS National Helpline, Commercial House, Westend Commercial Village, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

Salary Scale

The full time (35 hours per week) salary scale for these positions is €29,285 - €45,556 (these positions will be pro rata). It is anticipated that new entrants to the MABS service will be appointed on the 1st point of the scale. Incremental credit, should it be awarded, will be based on previous relevant experience as set out on the application form and covering letter.

Panel of Qualified Candidates

A panel will be formed of qualified candidates from which temporary and permanent, part-time Helpline Adviser posts which arise within the next 12 months will be filled should vacancies arise in this period. Posts will be located in the North Dublin MABS Region.
