The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is a national, free, confidential and independent service, providing advice and support to people in debt or in danger of getting into debt. Each MABS company is rooted within the communities they serve and staff work with clients to enable them to cope with immediate debt problems and assist them to develop good money management skills.
Dublin South MABS is recruiting a temporary full time Money Adviser (Relief) based in Dublin South MABS (Ballyfermot, Clondalkin, Crumlin, Dun Laoghaire, Dundrum, Francis Street, Lombard Street, Tallaght) for a Specified Purpose to 31 December 2019.
Money Advisers play a pivotal role in MABS. Candidates must display empathy with those who find themselves in financial difficulty, knowledge and understanding of money management, consumer debt and financial services, familiarity with the provision of an advice, support and advocacy service and excellent communication, organisational, administrative and IT skills. Money Advisers Relief will provide on- site Money Advice cover in a designated regional area with remote telephone/ online support to some companies, where required.
The base location for this position is: Tallaght
Money Adviser full time salary scale is currently €35,832 to €51,616 (including 2 long service increments), this is pro rata for part time.
It is anticipated that new entrants to the MABS service will be appointed on the 1st point of the scale. Incremental credit, should it be awarded, will be based on previous relevant experience as set out on application form and cover letter.

A panel will be formed of qualified candidates from which temporary part-time and full time Money Adviser posts which arise within the next 6 months will be filled should vacancies arise in this period. Posts will be located in Dublin South Region.
