Vacancy: Money Advice Co-ordinator (Fixed-term contract), West Waterford MABS
West Waterford MABS currently has a vacancy for a full time Money Advice Co-ordinator (MAC) on a fixed term contract until December 2018.
The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is a national, free, confidential and independent service, providing advice and support to people in debt or in danger of getting into debt. Each MABS company is rooted within the communities they serve and staff work with clients to enable them to cope with immediate debt problems and assist them to develop good money management skills.
A vacancy exists for a temporary full time Money Advice Co-ordinator, whose role is to co-ordinate the management of West Waterford MABS. Candidates must display empathy with those who find themselves in financial difficulty. Key knowledge and skills required include excellent management, communication and organisational skills; knowledge, understanding and experience of money management, consumer debt and financial services, and the MABS service in particular; familiarity with the provision of an advice, support and advocacy service, and IT skills.
Position will be located in Dungarvan Co. Waterford.
A Money Adviser Coordinators salary scale for this position is €42,663 - €58,682. This includes 2 long service increments.
It is anticipated that new entrants to the MABS service will be appointed on the 1st point of the scale.
Incremental credit should it be awarded, will be assessed on the basis of the information contained in the application form and cover letter submitted for the position.
