MABS submission to the Central Bank of Ireland’s Discussion Paper on ‘Digitalisation and the Consumer Protection Code’.

The Central Bank of Ireland recently issued a Discussion Paper on ‘Digitalisation and the Consumer Protection Code’. The aim of this paper was to generate discussion and stimulate debate with Central Bank stakeholders:

As with other innovations in financial services, MABS sees the potential for digitalisation to be transformative for low-income, vulnerable and otherwise marginalised groups. Having also extensively engaged with the Consumer Protection Code over very many years, and thus appreciating the important role it plays in protecting consumers of financial services, MABS welcomed the opportunity to make a submission to this Discussion Paper, a copy of which can be found below.
